Beamy Mooncakes

Labeled in Chinese was 鮮果月餅, aka fresh fruit mooncakes. I wasn’t really sure what 月之晶瑩 was so I decided to look it up. It literally translates to moon’s crystal gems, so I guess Beamy Moon works.

Honestly, these were the best mooncakes I ever tasted. Maybe it’s because I expected mooncakes to be heavy in flavor and texture. Maybe it’s because I’m never a fan of the original mooncake taste. But eating this was like eating a giant mochi.

These were my interpretation of the flavors when I ate it: strawberry, apple, mango, and apricot. The written flavors were as follows: 草莓(strawberry), 青蘋果(green apple), 芒果(mango), 荔枝(lychee).  Lychee! The white one was lychee! It didn’t taste like lychee… or did the color fooled my taste? Was I expecting coconut? Well, a lychee is white inside… Oh well, it still was delicious… ^_^
